Installation and Site Prep Policy
Project Foundry LLC. Last updated July 2026.
We sell equipment. We do not install it.
Project Foundry LLC does not perform installation and does not employ, contract, subcontract or supervise installers. See our Installation page for how referrals work.
Installer referrals
As a convenience, we can provide contact information for independent installation companies in your area. Any company we name is an independent business with no affiliation to Project Foundry LLC. We receive no fee, commission or payment of any kind from them, and we do not mark up their pricing.
- You contact the installer and get your own quote.
- You contract with the installer directly. Any agreement is between you and them.
- You pay the installer directly. Project Foundry LLC does not collect, hold or forward installation payments.
We do not verify, endorse or guarantee any installer's licensing, insurance or workmanship. We recommend you request a current certificate of liability insurance directly from any installer and confirm the coverage dates before work begins.
Note that there is no national certification program for lift installers. The Automotive Lift Institute certifies lift inspectors, not installers. Evaluate installers on insurance, references and relevant experience.
Inspect before you schedule
Do not book an installation date until your equipment has been delivered, uncrated and confirmed undamaged.
- Note any damage on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery, and photograph it, before signing.
- Report concealed damage to support@projectfoundry.co within 48 hours of delivery, with photos.
- If your installer receives or collects the equipment on your behalf, they are the inspection of record. Ask them to note any damage before signing.
Freight carriers routinely deny claims when damage is not noted at delivery. Once a clean receipt is signed, options are limited. Full delivery, inspection and claim terms are in our Shipping Policy. Return and cancellation terms are in our Refund Policy.
Site preparation is the customer's responsibility
Before ordering, confirm your site meets the manufacturer's requirements in the installation manual, including concrete thickness, strength and cure age, ceiling height and clearances, floor level tolerance, and electrical service voltage, phase and amperage. Permits and code compliance are your responsibility.
Equipment returned or cancelled because a site was not suitable is handled under our Refund Policy, and freight and restocking charges may apply. Checking these details before ordering is the cheapest step in the whole project.
What we are responsible for
Delivering the equipment you ordered, and assisting you with a freight claim or a manufacturer warranty claim if it arrives damaged or defective.
What we are not responsible for
- Installation quotes, costs or overages
- Cancellation fees, rescheduling fees, trip charges, wait time or travel billed by an installer, including trips made before the equipment was inspected
- Delays, no-shows, workmanship, or property damage caused by an installer
- An installer's licensing, insurance or qualifications
- Site readiness, permits or code compliance
- Any dispute between you and an installer
- Removal, disposal or handling of existing equipment
- Injury or damage resulting from improper unloading, transport or use
Acceptance
Placing an order with Project Foundry LLC constitutes acceptance of this policy and of our Terms of Service. Where this policy and our Terms of Service differ on installation matters, this policy applies.
